

This is the most contemporary-feeling yet of the Chronomaster Revival series, and this time Zenith takes inspiration from a prototype dating to 1970 - interestingly, two years before the first black-coated watch was introduced.

The latest one is rendered in blacked-out titanium and ominously called the “Shadow” - and it looks like a hit.

Each has borrowed from vintage models (and even a Japanese cartoon) to create something modern and novel to great effect. The Chronomaster Revival was introduced in 2019 as a one-to-one remake of the original A384 watch from 1969, but other iterations since then have sometimes taken a more creative approach.
